BEFORE YOU PRAY

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you- James 4:7

1. Satan tempts people to sin.

- And in 2 Corinthians 11:3, WARNING for all the believers:

- “I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.”

1. PEOPLE FALLING IN TEMPTATIONS

- PRAY FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE STRUGGLING TO SAY NO…right now.

- LUST OF THE EYES

- THE PRIDE OF LIFE

- GIVING UP WHAT GOD HAS FOR THE COUNTERFEITS.

- THOSE FALLING AWAY FROM THE SINCERE AND PURE DEVOTION TO CHRIST.

- PRAY FOR THOSE WHO ARE LIVING IN GUILT…

2. Satan lies, and is the father of lies.

- The first time Satan appears in the Bible in Genesis 3, the first words on his lips are suspicious of the truth (“Did God say, You shall not eat of any tree in the garden?”).

- And the second words on his lips were a subtle falsehood (“You will not die”).

2. EVERY LIE BE EXPOSED 

- NEED TO DISCERN THE LIES

- LIES TO OUR YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH TEMPTATIONS/ SEXUALITY

- LIES ABOUT MONEY …FUTURE ….FEARS …ANXIETIES

- LIES IN THE FAMILY BETWEEN SPOUSES , PARENTS KIDS  

- MEDIA AND SOCIAL MEDIA

- JOURNALISM... POLITICS... COVERUPS

- LIES ABOUT ETERNITY... GOD

3. He blinds the minds of unbelievers.

“The god of this age (SATAN) has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:4).

3.SATAN STOPS EYES FROM BEING OPENED

- SO MANY WEAPONS OF MASS DISTRACTION.

- CONVINCING LIES FED TO THEM

- THEIR HEARTS ARE NUMB TO THE TRUTH

- PRAY THAT THE MESSENGERS WILL GO WITH THE TRUTH

- PRAY THAT SCALES WILL FALL FROM MANY EYES.

- PEOPLE WILL OVERCOME DISTRACTIONS ….SEEK GOD.

- CONSCIENCES WILL BECOME ALIVE TO GOD

- MANY TESTIMONIES OF TRUTH SEEKERS WILL …CREATE MORE HUNGER.
